History, for us, always means future as well
If there is one constant in the history of LängleGlas, it is the consistent forward-thinking approach and focus on customer needs. From its founding to the present day, the company's identity has always revolved around values such as customer proximity, quality, innovation, as well as a sense of responsibility and tradition. Therefore, the history of LängleGlas is also the story of a forward-looking family business that, despite its roots, has always been dedicated to the future. From the 1990s to today, satisfied customers in over 40 countries around the world are supplied with fittings made by LängleGlas.
1873
Johann Georg Längle founded the company during the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. At that time, it was the first large glass wholesale business west of Salzburg. The construction of the Arlberg railway tunnel between 1879 and 1884 brought the company its first major boost.
1989
Mag. Oswin Längle became the head of the thriving company. This was followed by the development and expansion of the areas of glass fastening systems and building with glass.
1910
Anton Längle, the youngest son of Johann Georg Längle, took over the company. The rapid expansion required the opening of a branch in Innsbruck. Anton Längle successfully led the now well-known company through the challenging times of both World Wars.
1990
the fittings department was spun off into an independent division. Since 2000, five important patents, along with many other protection and trademark rights, have been registered.
1948
Ardo and Elmar Längle, the two sons of Anton Längle, took over the management of the company.
2019
the independent company Längle Glas-System was founded.
Mag. Christoph F. Vonach, BA was appointed as the managing director.
