Project:
Glocknerbahn, Zell am See

For decades, Schmittenhöhebahn AG has placed great emphasis on the design of its station buildings. Key features include a unique corporate identity (CI) for recognition and distinctiveness, as well as a commitment to modern and contemporary architecture.
The individual concepts often evolve from a structural visualization of guest movements within the building. Additionally, sustainable construction is a top priority. Natural, locally sourced building materials are used, and the buildings blend seamlessly into the landscape. For the Glocknerbahn, special attention was also given to integrating photovoltaic panels. Both the valley and mountain stations were constructed using timber, a method that allows for prefabrication in workshops and rapid on-site assembly.
